First of all, you need to decide where exactly you want to have your television on the wall. Which wall it will be on and how heigh it should be mounted. Then you need to find the wall studs that will support the TV weight (which is usually quite heavy). You might need a tool called a stud finder for this, as this makes finding the stud in the wall a breeze. Once you find the studs, use a pencil to mark the locations correctly for later.
Next you need to level the bracket prior to anchoring the wall mount to the studs. This is when you need another person to come help you, as I'm telling you from now on, you won't manage it on your own. It is a two person's job because one person will need to hold the mounting bracket while the second one will attach the mount to the studs using available screws. Before you actually place the screws, use a level to make sure that they are horizontally properly placed and not tilted in one direction or another.
Now it is time to attach the part of the mount bracket which will go on the TV to the back of the TV set using the mounting holes. If the holes are covered you need to remove them simply by using a screwdriver as help. Finally you need to actually hang the TV on the TV wall bracket that is already attached to the wall. Again you will need your buddy with you to hold the TV while you're screwing the 2 bracket parts together - unless you want him to do the job and you hold the TV in place.
It is important to actually read the instructions that came with the TV mounting brackets for an easier understanding of what you have to do. Many times there are various diagrams and sketches that will help you with the job. Having a clear knowledge of what is expected of you in this job might mean the difference of an accidental fall of your TV from the wall or an unwanted injury.
